Websites for employment law solicitors

An employment law website serves two very different people: an employee who has just been dismissed and has a deadline running, and an employer facing a claim or a new law. Your site has to send each of them the right way within seconds. Our employment law sites are built around that split, and you can see yours before paying anything.

Our work

Homepage concepts we've designed for employment lawyers

Three concepts for South Wales employment law firms: one that acts only for employees, and two that act for both sides. Names, people, photos, contact details and other identifying details have been changed.

What the site needs

What an employment law website has to get right

Two clear front doors

"I'm an employer" and "I'm an employee" at the top of the homepage, leading to separate pages. If you only act for one side, say so in the headline.

Deadlines, stated plainly

Since 1 October 2026, most tribunal claims must be brought within 6 months less one day (it was 3 months less one day, which still applies where the problem happened before that date). People must notify Acas for early conciliation before most claims, which pauses the clock. A short page on this is often the most useful thing on the site.

SRA price information

For employment tribunal claims for unfair or wrongful dismissal, the SRA Transparency Rules require price and service information on your website, both for employees bringing claims and employers defending them. We build a clear fee page for each.

A proper settlement agreement page

One of the legal conditions for a valid settlement agreement is that the employee has had advice from a relevant independent adviser. Employers often contribute to that cost, although they don't have to. Explaining this clearly turns a common search into a booked appointment.

Keeping employers up to date

The Employment Rights Act 2025 is being introduced in stages. On 30 October 2026 the duty to prevent sexual harassment was strengthened to "all reasonable steps" and extended to harassment by third parties. From 1 January 2027 the unfair dismissal qualifying period is due to fall to 6 months and the compensation cap to be removed. Employers search for plain-English guides on each change.

The SRA essentials

Your SRA number and digital badge in a prominent place, and a complaints procedure explaining how and when to complain to the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA (more on SRA website rules).

Questions

Common questions from employment law firms

Which of our fees does the SRA require us to publish?

For employment tribunal claims for unfair or wrongful dismissal, the SRA Transparency Rules require price and service information, for employees bringing claims and for employers defending them. We lay out both, and your COLP approves the wording.

Can you keep the guidance pages up to date as the law changes?

Yes. Updates are included in the £69 monthly plan, and every guide carries a "last updated" date so readers and search engines can see it's current.

We only act for employees. Should the site say so?

Yes, clearly and early. It saves employers' time and yours, and it tells employees they've found the right firm.

Will a new site lose our Google rankings?

Not if it's done properly. We keep or redirect every existing page address and move your content across before improving it.

How much does it cost?

The homepage concept is free. If you like it, the full site is £495, then £69 a month for hosting, security and changes.
