When you ask for a free homepage concept

We collect your first name and work email address. We use the domain of your email address to find your company's public website, review it and design a concept homepage from the content already on it. We then email you a private link to the concept along with our notes, and we may follow up once by email or phone to ask what you think.

We do this because you asked us to. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your request and discussing whether you'd like us to build your new website.

When we contact you first

We sometimes design a concept for a business before being asked and send it to a director or manager at a work email address. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. Every email includes a way to opt out, and if you reply asking us to stop, we will.

Concept pages

Concept pages are private: they are not listed anywhere and search engines are told not to index them. They use your company's own logo, wording and photos only to show the design, and are taken down after 30 days. If you'd like yours removed sooner, just ask.

Who helps us

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your name and work email for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer or ask us to delete it sooner.
